Hemming your vinyl banner is highly recommended to keep the edges from fraying and to give your banner a professional finish. You can hem your banner by sewing the edges or applying an adhesive pressure sensitive double-sided tape.
In the video below, you will see how to hem a vinyl banner using double-sided tape. We recommend the following tapes for hemming your banner:
1. Tissue tape 3.5 mil thick (our #3022) for light duty projects (3 x 5 foot banner not seeing much wind)
2. Acrylic adhesive Film Tape 4.5mil thick (our #FT4500) for medium duty projects
3. Acrylic adhesive film tape 8mil thick (our #Mred) for heavy duty projects
